Firefox OS phones as targets

They might not have CM builds but they do run an open system. Unlocked bootloaders are a prerequisite for Firefox OS. I just wanted to ask if its doable on the cheaper models utilising a Spreadtrum processor such as the Symphony Gofox F15 and Spice Fire One?

Firefox OS is not any more interesting than community Android versions.

Unlocked bootloaders are a prerequisite for Firefox OS.

None of the Firefox OS devices have free bootloaders : actually, the large majority of them have platforms that only allow signed first stage bootloaders, so this is a dead-end for software freedom.

I am not aware of the technical details of those. Would you like to investigate the state of free software support on those? It would be important to figure out whether they can run unsigned first stage bootloaders at first.

Thanks!

Hi,i didn't manage to track down much info on the spreadtrum chips. I also don't know how to confirm the first stage bootloader.
