Fixing the 'sdcard0 corrupted' issue on Replicant 6.0 devices

Added by Jacob Bahn almost 7 years ago

One problem I often encounter with technical instructions is that I lack the overview of

multiple options being presented intertwined, and
multiple (partial) instructions being spread over several pages.

I have tried to make a 'total' guide for fixing the 'sdcard0 corrupted on Replicant 6.0' issue, comprising each and all steps (on a Debian-based OS).

Comments and corrections are most appreciated.

It seems to be crucial to allow root access to ADB AND apps. 'ADB only' doen't work. I suppose this is because the terminal emulator is an app.

The attachment to this post holds the corrected guide

Hi Jacob,
I had exactly the same issue, and this solution solves it, so thank you VERY MUCH to Wolfgang for this solution (into https://redmine.replicant.us/issues/1798), and to Jacob for publishing it on the forum!

From the several days of reading on internet, it seems this issue is encountered on android especially when one install a new ROM on an encrypted system. I understand this is not caused by Replicant but is a general issue which is encountered also on LineageOS/Cyanogenmod.
Another solution should be to unencrypt the system before installing a new ROM.
Does anyone could confirm this?
