Cannot install 6.0 0003 on i9100-- detected filesystem ext4 for /dev/block/mmcblk0p10

Added by A. S. about 6 years ago

Hi,

After a factory reset in the 6.0 0003 recovery and having applied the update via ADB sideload, the installation gets stuck every time at "serving: 'replicant-6.0-i9100.zip' (~47%)" with the last device output being

detected filesystem ext4 for /dev/block/mmcblk0p10
detected filesystem ext4 for /dev/block/mmcblk0p9

The exact same thing happened when I tried to reinstall 6.0 0002 a while ago on a different S2 device (because of the reboot issue that you fixed with the latest release). That device had an encrypted file system and then I didn't know that I was supposed to ignore the data erase and factory reset step inside the recovery.

So I've now got two unusable S2 devices and would very much appreciate any help with installing Replicant again.

Best regards,

Albin

Problem solved! Apparently, I only needed to wait a bit longer for the installation to continue. :)
