How can I determine the version of replicant I'm running?

Added by Mickey Knox about 6 years ago

Of course, I don't mean wether it's Replicant 4 or 6, but which minor version (0002, 0003, etc).

Where can I see this?

Hi,

there is currently no explicit indication about the release number once Replicant is installed and running.
Still, you can tell what release you are running, by looking under Settings -> About Phone -> Build date
The latest image should report 10 December 2017.

If you see any date before that, then you're running an outdated release, and you should update as soon as possible, following these instructions

Happy hacking,

Hi,
this way do not allow to identify a version built after by a user.

Do you see a way to let user identify which detailed version is installed on the device (in About menu)?
Following fields could be candidates (if they can be modified):
- Android version
- Replicant version
- Build number

Replicant version seems the best option to me.
