Error with directory

Added by Hipocrates Hipo about 10 years ago

Hello, I am writing to see if someone can help me please. I've stuck a few days with Heimdall flash and no longer know what to do or where to look for the solution. I have a Galaxy S2.

I write:
$ Sudo heimdall flash - KERNEL recovery.img
Invalid argument: recovery.img

Action: flash
arguments:
- repartition - pit <filename>
- <partition name> | - <partition <filename> identifier> [...]
I write:
~ $ Sudo heimdall flash - KERNEL recovery.img
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std :: out_of_range'
what (): basic_string :: substr

Not if I have to go with "cd" to any folder. I copied the files directly in the root of phone memory and not how to get there.
Connecting to Heimdall's ($ sudo heimdall detect)
Yes, it's a problem that I lack technical conocimietos but that they no longer try or where to look. If someone could help out me, I would be very grateful!

You didn't follow the instructions thoroughly, it says:

sudo heimdall flash --KERNEL recovery.img

You must do that in the directory where recovery.img is on the host computer.

Thank you very much for the help!
I've already got :) The phone goes very fast, fluid ... Free! Love it!
I write from Spain. For instructions ... I use an online translator and not understood perfect.
Not sure if it indicates normal but not writing IMEI information * # 06 #
Why? Signifia I lost a folder with information IMEI ...? Now I have a generic IMEI?
Thanks, do excellent work and valuable for future computers (mobile phones) work with free software.

I doubt you lost the IMEI information. Dialing *#06# works here and shows the IMEI. You can also access it in the Settings menu: Ajustes > Informacion del telefono > Estado > IMEI

After restarting the phone, the IMEI updated information.
At first, in Settings> Phone Information> Status> IMEI was empty.
Now everything is perfect. Thank you very much for your attention Paul.
A greeting.
