Installation on a Samsung S GT I9000
Added by Thomas Bouchet over 10 years ago
Hello,
I got a lot of problems since I tried to install replicant on my phone. By using the adb shell it seems I've no more /efs and /sdcard is not mountable with Recovery...
I would like to understand more and maybe help replicant, but actually I can't do nothing more on my phone apart booting and reaching the recovery menu.
Do not hesitate to ask me anything to debug my phone, I'll read documentation about Replicant and Android-like systems in order to understand what I'm doing ;o)

That seems like serious trouble. Maybe start off by installing CyanogenMod, which sets things up properly and then go with Replicant. Installation on the Galaxy S (I9000) is always messy.

If you expect any real help here, please start by mentioning exactly what fails, at which point and what you did exactly.
Normally, you have to flash a particular pit file and then proceed with the CM install.
