Camera issue on I9300

First of all: I'm new here and just installed Replicant on my S3. Thank you all for your efforts to supply us with Replicant.

I know from the devices page, that front camera doesn't work. Still - curious as I am - I had to try. Unfortunately I was afterwards unable to use the camera at all, as I got a message about the phone not being able to find the camera and then the camera shut down. After some time this problem disappeared - I don't know what I did - but could this turn into a permanent situation or will I always be able to recover the back camera usage?

Hello Jacob,

Welcome to Replicant. :-) This thread here might help with your issues: http://redmine.replicant.us/boards/9/topics/4209

You just have to make sure to clear the data of the camera app and it will work again.

Thanks. That clarifies why the problem disappeared: After installation I, while checking the apss, I must have cleared the data for the camera.
