Call forwarding on Replicant?

Added by V X about 8 years ago

I am trying to set up call forwarding so I can use an alternate voicemail provider. When I try to access Call Forwarding in call settings, I get "Network or SIM card error". If I use an MMI code(*004<num>#) I get "Call forwarding Connection problem or invalid MMI code." Has anyone had success with call forwarding on the Galaxy S2? I am running the latest replicant build.

Why *004<num>#? Have a look here:

http://www.gsmsite.de/codes.htm#Dienste:

If I read this correctly, it should work with:

**21*1234567*10#
(12334567 being the number to which you want to forward)

My voicemail provider gave me the *004 code. I just tried the **21 code and it gave me the same "Call forwarding Connection problem or invalid MMI code" error. In fact, most of these codes seem to give the invalid code error: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/general/galaxy-sii-i9100-secret-codes-t1193285

I wonder, is it Replicant that doesn't support these codes or something else?

Yes, these codes are not supported. Namely RIL_REQUEST_QUERY_CALL_FORWARD_STATUS and RIL_REQUEST_SET_CALL_FORWARD are missing in Samsung-RIL.
