Hi,
I tried to change the 1650mAh battery that comes with the Galaxy S2 with a 3500mAh one.
However, that didn't work: the phone roughly discharges at the same pace as it does with the original battery (and sometimes going up while unplugged, then rapidly down). Various battery apps give me the same analysis, namely that the battery still is 1650mAh. As I understand it, the gauge is not related to some sort of hardware check but to a software parameter. Is that right? Is there a way to force that upgrade?
