Camera on Samsung S3

Hi,
Do a photo capture and/or video recording work on Samsung S3? There's no record in "Software features" table on http://redmine.replicant.us/projects/replicant/wiki/ReplicantStatus#Replicant-40 for S3 yet.
Thank you very much for your work on the Replicant project!

Currently, there is no way to record videos in Replicant. That is because the hardware video encoding units need a loaded proprietary firmware we do not distribute. Using CPU-based encoding is impossible as it is way too slow (I already tried in the past). Only showing the preview video feed makes the CPU run like crazy, so adding video encoding on top of that would be suicide.
