Redmine Replicant - Issue #963 (Closed): Consider merging upstream macloader patcheshttps://redmine.replicant.us/issues/9632014-08-10T12:51:42ZSimon Josefssonsimon@josefsson.org

There has been some fixes to macloader, affecting Wifi on more recent S3's, which are fixed by this merge request:

I looked into why NFC on I9300 required libpn544_fw.so in Replicant but not in CyanogenMod. I found this commit:

https://www.gitorious.org/replicant/external_libnfc-nxp/commit/85af7251179c3cf53c785e9a055942d3ab6462c1

It changes a soft-fail to a hard-fail when the file is missing. Reverting this makes everything work for me. Why was the patch added?

For background and debug messages see http://blog.josefsson.org/2014/08/05/replicant-4-2-0002-and-nfc-on-i9300/

If it is needed on some other platform, please consider making it soft-fail for I9300 devices.
Replicant - Issue #873 (Rejected): video recording doesn't work in replicant 4.2 on s3 (worked in...https://redmine.replicant.us/issues/8732014-03-04T08:20:10ZSimon Josefssonsimon@josefsson.org

I noticed that video recording doesn't work. It worked fine in replicant 4.0. Using logcat I get the error below when trying to record. If there is anything more I can do to help debug it, let me know.

I'm trying to rebuild the fdroid apps using replicant SDK and running into a couple of issues, but I'll break them down into separate issues.

The Replicant SDK is missing the Maven "Support Library Repository" -- any chance this could be added? It is needed to build some android apps.
Replicant - Issue #693 (Rejected): Camera app crashes when selecting the third (non-video non-pho...https://redmine.replicant.us/issues/6932013-11-08T09:33:01ZSimon Josefssonsimon@josefsson.org

Taking pictures and recording video works fine, but when I select the third mode in the camera app, it crashes. I'm attaching three logs. This is reproducible, so if you want me to provide further details, I can.
Replicant - Issue #681 (Rejected): Zxing doesn't work on Samsung S3https://redmine.replicant.us/issues/6812013-11-02T20:31:11ZSimon Josefssonsimon@josefsson.org

Camera works, but zxing doesn't manage to scan QR codes. On IRC it was suggested this was because another color space is used, and the problem is related to missing 3d acceleration (?).

Tested replicant-4.0 0005.
