Feature #1485: Samsung-RIL missing features
Sim ToolKit (STK) support is missing
Telephony and mobile data
According to the Samsung-RIL wiki page STK (Sim Toolkit) commands are either missing or disabled.
Without them one cannot use devices like the "magic" dual-SIM adapters, which could be a great way to circumvent the lack of Replicant support for a dual-SIM phone.
Do we really want STK?
This standard potentially gives too much power to the SIM over Replicant.
Would be a sane way to implement this, or a subset of it so it doesn't pose any risk for users of Replicant?
Denis, would you mind elaborating? How does STK control an Android OS?
- Device set to Not device specific
- Subject changed from Support STK commands (Sim Toolkit) to Sim ToolKit (STK) support is missing
- Device deleted (
Not device specific)
We should research how or how much of STK could be implemented sanely.
