We should contact upstream, and work with them to modify the definition at all places where it can be found.

Once the NonFreeAssets definition is clarrified, verify if the applications using it matches the definition.
There are only 4 applications to check at https://f-droid.org/wiki/page/Category:Apps_with_NonFreeAssets_antifeature

The current definition for NonFreeAssets is:

the application contains and makes use of non-free assets. The most common case is apps using artwork - images, sounds, music, etc - under a non-commercial license.

The FSDG guidelines state about non-functional data:

It can be included in a free system distribution as long as its license gives you permission to copy and redistribute, both for commercial and non-commercial purposes.

So they are not the same as the FSDG guidelines clearly state that the data needs to be redistributable for commercial purposes. OsmAnd which is marked with this anti-feature has some data licensed under a non-commercial license: https://github.com/osmandapp/Osmand/blob/master/LICENSE
So OsmAnd would not be compliant according to the FSDG guidelines.

I guess apps with the NonFreeAssets anti-feature also need to be hidden then.

The idea is to include all apps with non-functional data in the anti-feature that violates FSDG so we can filter it.
