Description
The modem enable/disable scripts from the user-scripts repo would be useful to have pre-installed in the Replicant images. Same goes for the renderer switcher from https://redmine.replicant.us/issues/1832 .

Moving this up for 6.0 0005 release since there has been no patch yet and 0004 release candicate is planned for 14.10.2019.

I think what happened was that #1806 was resolved via Jeremy's user-script that Wolfgang reviewed and claimed to push here: https://redmine.replicant.us/issues/1806#note-11
#1806 wasn't closed though because there was a desire to do some femtocell testing via #1820 to make 100% sure that the modem is completely disabled via the script.
If I remember correctly, Jeremy said that the script somehow didn't actually get included in 0003, even though Wolfgang said he had pushed the patch, so Jeremy opened this ticket so that his patch that added his modem enable/disable script would get included in 0004.
So, if Jeremy's patch was already reviewed, fixed, and supposedly pushed, I think we should include Jeremy's 6.0-modem-v2.patch in #1806 to 0004 and close this issue.
