Description

We have identified a handful of remaining blockers for building a rc image for 0004. We hope to resolve these last few blockers in the coming days. This issue will only be open temporarily to allow us to visualize our progress towards removing the remaining blockers.

Denis said in the IRC that he has some Coreboot devices with varying degrees of freedom and that it might be interesting to build 6.0 0004 on a fully free laptop.

Andrés is going to write one more patch for 0004 that brings in sane defaults for the graphics i.e. llvmpipe used everywhere except SurfaceFlinger.

0004 will use the old 0003 webview if a cleaned one is not ready in the extremely near future.

I think we also need a patch to remove RepWifi from 0004, so I created #1974 and made it a blocker.

I also added Offline calendar addition, #1938, as a blocker since there is already a patch pending on the mailing list for it and the patch review looks to only require a very simple fix before it can get acked and pushed.

If we decide that an rc2 needs to be built we can open this ticket back up or start a new one.
