The patch was refused in upstream Linux on the basis that it's up to userspace to handle that.
It's not optimal for us as GNU/Linux and Android need to handle it separately.
Though maybe this would fix it upstream: https://gitlab.com/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/commit/ec1305c64f7e9c0d409e9575c539b179d8c39473.patch
