I've looked into rooting for backuping devices, but I'm a complete newbie with exploits, so I failed to make any of them them work.

I've added my research in the RootingDevices wiki page, however I probably won't have time soon to continue looking into it.

I forgot to close the bug.

In any case it can be reopened if anyone has more information to produce free rooting software that actually works (unlike my attempts that didn't work).
