The Galaxy Tab 2 has a vendor specific connector that has among other things the UART signals.

Various things do exist with this specific connector:
  • The USB cable that is distributed with the device
  • USB host adapter
  • SD card adapter which uses the USB signals

To do kernel development, a custom cable could be made. This would enable to retrieve kernel logs (assuming that we find out how to setup the bootloader to do that).

To make that custom cable easier to make, if there are any breakout boards for that connector, it would make things much much easier.

We need at least 2 of such breakout boards (one for mighty17 who is doing the upstream port, and one for me).
