I can reliably use ipc-modem --debug --call xxxxxxxxxx start the first time: the call reach the other device.
The second time it fails with "Something went wrong".
The third time it works again, the fourth time I get something went wrong again, and so on.

I tested that on Replicant 6.0 0005 RC5 with ipc-modem added to the image with adb push.
