Running 2.3 00002 on passion in the US with Tmobile.

The radio stops working several times per day. In the UI, the HSDPA/EDGE icon disappears, and any action using Tmobile will fail.

The most common time-frame is immediately after a voice call. Though it will also happen occasionally without any voice or sms. (Data was likely active in all cases so far.)

Here's a logcat from immediately after making a voice call and noticing the problem:

So far the only effective remedy has been to reboot. Was advised by PaulK in IRC to kill the rild process. That has not helped so far. Here's a logcat from the same incident after a #killall rild:

Thanks for the report. The log gives us exactly what we wanted to know. The problem here is that I forgot to import the device-specific code to disable data. Please use Replicant 2.2 0008 images, which shouldn't have this bug, until we release a newer set of images with the fix.

OK great.

I installed 2.2 0008. And indeed the problem does not occur there, all radio functionality has been working reliably for several days now. With the exception of MMS (picture texts) which I'm having some trouble with, but that was working fine in 2.3, so I assume it's a known and resolved issue.

built a 2.3 image with htcgeneric-ril from :

Ignore update #3, I had not successfully built the libhtcgeneric-ril.so yet. So that's just a log of running with no ril :)

Since then I successfully built the hycs libhtcgeneric-ril.so:

Which seemed to work pretty well, but it did have the no MMS bug that the 0008 builds have.

I went ahead and took a stab at merging it with the current replicant code, the results are here:
