Issue #861
closedmodem crash
0%
Description
I just had 3 texts on my i9300 (Replicant 4.2) in quick succession from Samsung-RIL saying the modem had crashed. I have only used Replicant for a total or around 48 hours and this has just happened once so please feel free to close the bug report if you feel it isn't news-worthy or is currently expected behaviour.
But just in case it's useful to you for debugging here are the logs:

It just happened twice more again when I was browsing the internet. However nothing appears to be wrong following the messages. I just made a phone call as well to check. Now the messages are coming through every 30 minutes it would seem? More logs of the these two cases:

- Status changed from New to Rejected
- Resolution set to invalid
Well, the message says it all, the modem just appears to be crashing more often than other devices. It does happen to me as well from time to time, but not that often. It apparently comes back up every time, so except from the annoyance of receiving an SMS every time (which deserves a noble purpose), everything should be fine. It doesn't look like an issue with our software at all.
I suppose the only way to fix this would be to update the modem firmware.
